Dec 6, 2008 - OUR SHIP HAS SAILED!!
YES - our ship has sailed - WITH our faithful truck in it's container! It left the port this morning at 7:00 AM, and is due into Panama City, Panama on Monday, at 5:00 AM. We now officially have the bill of lading (B/L) so we can fly on into Panama, get the truck, and be on our way to Nicaragua.

It has been 18 days since we arrived in Ecuador! It seems like an eternity to us. We'll fly to Panama on Monday at 3:50 PM. Reason why the delay in not leaving immediately is: the hotel we have booked (and changed arrival dates several times) doesn't have a vacancy for Sunday night. Also, Monday morning we want to call the agent in Panama to check to see that all is in order. We don't want to get there and suddenly they need something else from Ecuador - maybe we're a little gun shy?

So, thanks so much for all your prayers. But, please continue to pray for us and our truck. We want a quick turn around in Panama (expected to be 3 days) so we can be on our way. Our container from Paraguay is progressing nicely and is due in Nicaragua on Dec. 10th. We have things in motion already for receiving that container. We've FedExed documents to the lawyer helping us in Nicaragua. He can start the processing before we get there. Our other time crunch is our flight to the states on Dec. 15th. As it now stands, Linda may be traveling on the 15th, with Ed coming as soon as the Paraguay container is taken care of. So pray for:

- quick turn around of the truck in Panama

- safe (& quick) traveling from Panama to Nicaragua

- safe travels for Linda from Nicaragua to Atlanta

- quick turn around for the Paraguayan container

- safe travels for Ed from Nicaragua to Atlanta - as soon as possible!

Your prayers ARE making a difference!
